All Star Cheerleading

All Star cheerleading is an exciting and growing sport in the UK. It is a physically challenging, high energy sport that combines jumps, tumbles, stunts, pyramids and dance to create performances with the wow factor!

Competitive cheerleading uses all of the above elements to produce routines that are competed at a regional, national and international level (including World Championships). Cheerleaders train regularly as part of a team, combining learning skills with conditioning and drills.

Herts Allstars was formed in April 2007, as “Hertstoppers Cheerleading Club”, when it began running recreational classes for all ages. In September 2007 we formed the first senior competitive squad, Herts Elite. They entered their first Future Cheer regional competition in December 2007 at Level 2, and won first place and the Grand Champion Trophy. We now offer opportunities to athletes from 3 to 25 years of age for all skill levels and abilities.

We have extended our competitive opportunities and our competition squads have been extremely successful in the last 10 years winning over 250 trophies, including countless first place and Grand Champion titles.

We offer our athletes as many opportunities as possible, inside and outside the gym. In 2015 we organised a cheer trip to Florida with 13 of our senior aged athletes, who spent 12 days visiting WORLD class cheer teams, the NCA Collegiate Nationals competition in Daytona Beach and competing in 2 competitions themselves. A fantastic opportunity and some awesome results!

Being part of one of our competitive squads requires hard work and dedication. We ask for cheerleaders and parents to be cooperative and committed to the squad’s’ training and competition schedule. It will involve time and financial commitments, but we believe that you will enjoy the benefits and results from being part of our HA family!

Herts Allstars enter 3-4 competitions during the season. For the 2017/18 season, we will be re-learning technique, developing athletes in their tumbles and stunts and benefiting from our new facility. Our season ends with the Future Cheer National competition in Bournemouth, which occurs every July.

Cheer is a team sport, and extremely competitive. Working closely with coaches and team mates is hugely important to the success of each squad and attendance at training sessions really helps to build a strong team ethic.
